Utsjoki village tour

Utsjoki, the land of the Sámi, is the northernmost municipality of Finland and the only municipality, where the majority of 1400 inhabitants are Sámi. The Sámi culture still lives strongly in Utsjoki.

We will take a car drive to a nearby village and get to know the open-air museum. Cottages are the most valuable cultural heritage of Utsjoki. The area has been inhabitet since prehistoric times. After the church cottages we will drive to the villagehouse Giisa, where the local people allso like to come and share the news of the day. There is also a local handcraftshop in Giisa.
